Students play theatre games and prepare short teacher-led plays for performance.  The focus is on listening and team work, as well as exploring the conventions of  theatrical performance such as the audience/performer relationship, stage directions, facing the audience, and the importance of staying "in character".   The class culminates in a short teacher-led performance in a theatre space for family and friends at our Student Showcase, held at Beban Stage 3 times a year.

Ready, Set... Act! is a great introduction to the performing arts as well as excellent preparation for participation in more formal theatre practices (which typically start at age 9).

Please Note:  We cannot accommodate younger kindergarten (or younger) children in this class --- even those accompanied by a sibling.
