Studio 2 presents...

Acting for the Stage

for Grades 4 - 7

Several performance opportunites throughout the year.

Utilizing a variety of dramatic skills, this session will focus on strengthening our acting chops by bringing the words we read on a page to life! Drawing on our dramatic building block of voice and speech, movement, characterization, improvisation, and storytelling, students will dig into their acting practice by working with texts (poems, stories, and scripts) and other theatrical elements (props, puppets, lighting, and sound,)

Please note: In the winter term and spring terms,  monologues and scripts may be introduced.  If your child has any reading difficulties, please let us know and we will accommodate them.  Also, students using scripts can expect homework; ie. memorizing lines.  It is very likely that you, the parent, will need to assist them with this.

Is this class right for my child?
